I was born in 1960. My two loving parents, Anthony and Elsie, whom I adore, raised me in the great city of Brooklyn, New York. I have been taking photographs for over twenty-five years. The birth of my daugher, Christina, inspired this venture. It started out as my hobby, which now has become my profession.
In the early part of my career, I became a staff photographer for a Brooklyn based news publication, The Kings Courier. The Courier publications branched out to different sections in the borough, such as: Bay News, Flatbush Life, and Canarsie Digest. I was involved in several assignments and was published in the Visual and Merchandise magazine. I also photographed window displays for designer Toshi Studio, Trump Towers, I Tokin PLaza, and La Marka Shoes in New York City.
In 1987, I moved to sunny, Florida and made a new home for my family. My start in Florida was becoming a certified photo lab technician. I wanted to learn the finishing side of photography where I started out in a food chain with a mini lab, later became a manager of the lab, and store lobby department. From there, I went to a more custom lab, CPI Photo Finish, as an assistant manager. Unfortunately the company sold to Ritz Camera which I became a photo lab manager. In time, I had the opportunity to learn about the retail world.
In 2000, Innovative Photography was formed. As my website shows, with the new digital world, the possibilities are endless. I love all aspects of photography and my goal is always make each image better than the last.
